Cavium’s reference designs showcase highly optimized, cost-effective and low power SOC processors to address a broad range of network connected, triple-play enabled devices

These reference designs highlight industry-leading performance and optimized low-cost, low-power solutions, which enable fast time to market for a range of applications including services-rich fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) home routers, Video bridges, VoIP gateways, VPN routers, and 802.11 access points.

Triple Play Gateway, High-Performance Multimedia/Video Bridge Demonstrations
Cavium Networks booth will be displaying three complete Broadband, SOHO, SME reference designs and partner solutions. The first reference design is a complete broadband or home Triple Play Gateway with integrated voice over IP (VoIP) support and Video MPEG play back using an OCTEON dual-core based reference design. The OCTEON processor and related triple play gateway solution including Unified Threat Management (UTM) application, and VoIP software are readily available from Cavium Networks and its Ecosystem partners. The second reference design on display is a high-performance, Multimedia/Video Bridge based on the cost optimized and low-power, flexible design of the STAR ARM Processors. STAR processors deliver highly optimized, cost-effective and low-power solutions to address a broad range of network connected, triple-play enabled devices for the digitally connected home and office. Additionally, Software partner D2 Technologies will show their application and soft-DSP software on Cavium’s OCTEON™ processors for VoIP & IM Residential Gateways, Triple/Quad Play Devices, Fixed & Wireless IAD and Enterprise IP phones.
