D2 Technologies to Discuss Advancements in Mobile Device Technology at ITEXPO East 2012

Miami Beach, FL (ITEXPO East 2012) and Santa Barbara, CA – January 30, 2012 — D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced that chief operating officer Doug Makishima will participate in “Make Your Smart Device Smarter on the Road,” a panel presentation offered at ITEXPO East 2012, being held at the Miami Beach (FL) Convention Center, January 31-February 3.   During the presentation on Thursday, February 2 at 3:00 p.m., Makishima and others will address the advances in mobile technologies that are enabling employees to be just as effective remotely as they are in the office.

On Wednesday, February 1 at 1:30 p.m., Makishima will participate in the panel presentation, “When Does 4G Take Over Voice: VoLTE Rollout,” a breakout session at the 4G Wireless Evolution Conference, held in conjunction with ITEXPO East 2012.  Panel participants Steve Collins, vice president of marketing for Acme Packet, Majid Foodeei, PhD, vice president of telecom marketing for Transwitch Corporation, Anatoli Levine, senior director of product management for RADVISION and Manuel Vexler, chief marketing officer IMS/NGN for Huawei Technologies, will join Makishima in discussing the roadmap for carrier migration of voice to LTE VoLTE and how SMS text messaging will change.

Also on Wednesday, February 1 at 4:45 p.m., Makishima will again join Collins, Levine and Vexler for a second panel presentation, “The Case for Rich Communication Services: Maximizing Real Time Communications Revenue.”  The panel will discuss how RCS is enabling carriers to add revenue through services such as video, contextual media sharing and presence.
