D2 Technologies and NewPace Technology Development Showcase Joint IMS Mobile Solution at IMS World Forum 2014

D2’s mCUE® 4G IMS client software paired with NewPace’s rcsConnect platform enable simultaneous rich communication services (RCS), VoLTE (IR.92) and ViLTE (IR.94) 

Barcelona, Spain (IMS World Forum 2014), Santa Barbara, CA and Bedford, NS – April 29, 2014 — D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, and NewPace Technology Development Inc., a leading provider of rich communication service products for mobile network operators, today announced that they will showcase a “green button” native user experience that seamlessly combines comprehensive rich communication services (RCS), VoLTE (IR.92) and ViLTE (IR.94) during IMS World Forum 2014. The conference opens today at the Crown Plaza Barcelona Fira Center, Barcelona, Spain, and runs through May 1. 

The two companies successfully completed interoperability testing of the joint solution, ensuring mobile network operators receive complete IMS functionality as they transition legacy voice services to LTE and begin to offer RCS, VoLTE and ViLTE (Video over LTE) via IMS.

NewPace’s innovative rcsConnect family of solutions has been powering RCS for more than three years. rcsConnect is a complete suite of RCS 5.1 compliant services including: presence, instant messaging, group chat, file transfer, VoIP (IR.92) and video calling (IR.94), inter-operator routing (IR.90) and network API solutions for mobile operators. Visitors to IMS World Forum 2014 can come to the exhibition area during exhibition hours to view a demo of mCUE 4G running on the Google Nexus 5 connecting to an IMS RCS server from NewPace Technology. mCUE 4G is also being demoed on the Huawei Ascend G716-L070, Nvidia’s Tegra 4i reference platform and an Intel® Atom™ based commercial handset.
