D2 Technologies' vPort GW VoIP software supports the launch of Edgewater Networks' EdgeMarc 2900A Intelligent Edge

The EdgeMarc 2900a adds FXS and FXO analog capabilities to the EdgeMarc 2900 family of Intelligent Edges and utilizes D2's vPort GW VoIP software to enable a fully featured VoIP solution. vPort GW includs support for SoftDSP that implements all voice DSP functions in software on the CPU core, eliminating the need for hard DSP chipsets and support for fax. D2 Technologies vPort GW software supports multiple services such as Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based VoIP, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based VoIP and VoLTE. vPort GW delivers the highest quality voice and operator services enabling OEMs and ODMs to cost effectively and quickly go to market with VoIP and VoLTE gateway solutions
